Light the Heart Therapy
Helping you find clarity, belonging, and emotional grounding.
Therapy for individuals, couples, and children navigating identity, cultural expectations, life transitions, and relationships. You don’t have to carry everything alone. We can work together to a place where you begin to understand yourself more clearly, feel more grounded, and move forward with greater confidence.
You Might Be Here Because...
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling:
●Caught between two cultures or two versions of themselves
● Overwhelmed by expectations from family, work, or society
● Guilty for wanting a different life than the one they were taught to want
● Lost in a life transition like motherhood, marriage, career changes, or immigration
● Emotionally exhausted but still functioning and holding everything together
● Struggling with boundaries, communication, or conflict in their relationships
● Unsure of who they are anymore, or whom they are allowed to be
If any of this feels familiar, you are not alone.
And you don’t have to figure
it out by yourself.

The Goal of Our Work Together
Therapy is not just about talking. It is about helping you feel different in
your life.
Many of my clients begin to feel:
● More emotionally grounded
● Less anxious and overwhelmed
● Clearer about who they are and what they want
● More confident setting boundaries
● Better able to navigate family and cultural expectations
● More connected in their relationships
● More at peace with themselves
My role is to provide a space that is warm, thoughtful, culturally aware,
and grounded, where you can safely explore your story and begin to
move forward in a way that feels more like your own life.
Esther Jung
Counselor, LMHC, NCC (she, her)

My name is Esther Jung, and I focus on helping people navigate cultural identity, family expectations, life transitions, and relationships.
As a Korean American therapist who grew up as an immigrant learning two languages and cultures, I understand both professionally and personally how complex it can feel to live between cultures, expectations, and roles. This perspective shapes the way I approach therapy, with cultural awareness, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s story.
I am trained in EMDR, IFS, and other pattern-identifying modalities. My clients often appreciate the combination of psychodynamic work, which helps us understand how the past shapes us, and CBT, which offers practical tools for the present. By understanding where they come from and learning how to navigate current challenges, my clients often experience a greater sense of movement, clarity, and satisfaction in their lives.
